Membership Requirements:
*Minimum GPA of 2.6 or higher
*Must be currently enrolled in at least 9 units at San Jose State University
This Spring we have accepted 17 beautiful new members into our chapter.
The following is the schedule for Recruitment this Fall!
Panhellenic Mixer #1: August 29th
Panhellenic Mixer #2: September 3rd
Mixers are not mandatory, but are highly recommended because it is a great way to meet many women from all 6 PHC chapters.
Recruitment Orientation: TBA
Highly encouraged to attend because each potential member will find out what color group she is in for the weekend, who her Rho Gamma's are, and what to expect throughout this process.
House Tours: September 5th
Potential members will tour all 6 chapter houses and learn more about each individual chapter and their members.
Philanthropy Day: September 6th
Potential members may attend up to 3 to 4 parties. Potential members will learn more about individual chapters' philanthropies and the service they provide.
Preference Day: September 7th
Potential members may attend up to 2 parties, but it is not guaranteed. Potential members will experience the ritual unique to each chapter.
Bid Day: September 8th
Bids can be picked up from 12pm to 4pm in the Student Involvement office located in Clark Hall. Women will meet at tower lawn at 5pm and will be escorted by their new sisters to their chapter house where festivities take place.
Going Greek is a wonderful experience and Alpha Xi Delta is thrilled that you are considering going through the Formal Recruitment process at San Jose State University. The friends and memories you make are unforgettable and we can't wait for you to experience it for yourself!
The weekend long festivities of recruitment are always hectic. However, as chaotic as those three days may be it will all be worth it in the end when you open your bid card and are welcomed by your new sisters! The women of Alpha Xi Delta are extremely well rounded, no matter the occasion you will always find a sister to join along. Whether you're going to the library, wanting to take a run, have a fun night out, or just relaxing and watch a movie, you will always have someone there. The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta are there for each other not only when you want to hang out, but when you need them and their support most. Fate made us friends but Alpha Xi Delta made us sisters.
We hope you find happiness like we have no matter which house you choose in the Greek community! So have fun, be yourself, and enjoy every minute of recruitment!
